Lifford and Newmarket Celtic have booked their spots in the next round of the FAI Junior Cup.
Lifford recorded a 4-1 win on the road against Glin Rovers, while Newmarket were also 4-1 winners away to Mastergeeha.
All other Clare teams involved in yesterday’s action lost their opening round ties, with Shannon Town, Bunratty-Cratloe, Shannon Olympic, Fern Celtic, and Bridge United seeing their involvement in the competition come to an end.
The all-Clare derby between Kilkishen and Shannon Hibs was abandoned due to an injury.
