One of the joint managers of the Sixmilebridge senior hurlers says there was a major drive in the squad this year to get back to the big day of Clare club hurling.
A first final since 2020 awaits the Bridge on Sunday afternoon where Feakle stand between them and a 16th county title.
Tommy Liddy and Stiofan Fitzpatrick are in their first year managing the team, and have come to Sunday’s game with an unbeaten record.
Liddy says a lot of work was done behind the scenes to make sure they were on a solid footing heading into the championship.
Meanwhile Feakle boss Ger Conway says players are leading their own destiny this year.
A one point loss in the group stages is the only blemish on their record so year in 2024, with nine goals scored along the way to Sunday’s final.
Conway says it’s important players show their own initiative in key moments
