Leinster earned a last minute draw with Montpellier in their first Heineken Cup match of the season as it finished 16-16
A Fulgence Ouedraogo try in the first half cancelled out an early lead established by two Jonny Sexton penalties to leave the reigning champions trailing at the break.
In the second half a converted try from replacement Sean Cronin galvanised Leinster and in the last action of the match Sexton held his nerve to secure the Irish side a hard-fought draw.
Meanwhile Ulster beat Clermont Auvergne 16-11 at Ravenhill.
In the other early matches today:
Leicester beat Aironi 28-12 in Italy
Edinburgh beat London Irish away in the Madjeski Stadium by 20points to 19m.
