There will be a North Clare derby in this years Clare U-21A football final.
Corofin dethroned champions Cill Cuil Gaels, as a first half goal from Sean McNamara helped them to a 1-14 to 1-9 victory.
The North Clare side led 1-7 to 0-5 at the break, and while Gearoid O’Grady pounced for a goal for the holders to leave two between them heading the final quarter, it was Corofin who kicked for home to maintain their push for double victory.
They face Scariff-Ogonnelloe in Fridays U-21A hurling final, alongside bedfellows Ruan.
There was late drama in the other last four tie, as Eanna Rouine’s 63rd minute goal saw Ennistymon beat Doora Barefield by 2-4 to 1-6.
The sides traded goals in the opening period as Joe Rafferty and Ryan Barry found the net, with Ennistymon holding a 1-3 to 1-2 lead at half time.
Scores after the restart through Darragh Nagle and Fionn Kelleher looked to have put Doora Barefield in a commanding position, but with the game about to reach full time, Rouine hit the net to send Ennistymon through to a first decider since 2012.
The final is set to be played on Wednesday December 28th in Cusack Park
