Munster Senior B LGFA Final: Limerick 4-7 Clare 4-5
A late Limerick surge saw them eventually see off Clare in the Munster LGFA Senior B final.
It was fitting revenge for the Treaty side as they reversed the result from the opening round game, which Clare had edged thanks to a last gasp goal.
Goals were the story of this contest, with Megan Downes, Lucy Shanahan and Chloe Moloney all finding the net for Clare in the opening half to lead by 3-1 to 2-4 at the break.
Limerick found the net early in the second period, but Ellie Hanrahan’s goal helped Clare edge back in front by 4-4 to 3-5.
Limerick found that extra gear for the closing stages, out scoring Clare by 1-2 to 0-1 to retain their crown.
Up next for Clare is the opening round of the All Ireland intermediate championship against Offaly next weekend
