Clare have given their hopes of promotion to Division 2 of the National Football League a massive boost following a dramatic victory over Kildare.
A Keelan Sexton goal three minutes into additional time gave Clare a 2-12 to 0-16 win over division leaders in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg this afternoon.

Clare led by six at the break, however, Kildare rallied in the second half and took the lead in injury time courtesy of a two-pointer off the boot of Alex Beirne.
With two minutes left, Ikem Ugweru drove through the middle of the Kildare defence and found Keelan Sexton who dispatched to the net seeing the Banner take the two points.
