Kilmurry Ibrickane manager David Egan is confident that his squad will be bolstered this weekend ahead of a crucial second round tie in the TUS Clare senior football championship.
The Bricks will be hoping to bounce back from an opening round loss to Eire Óg when they take on Lissycasey in Cusack Park on Saturday evening.
Former Munster club player of the year Darren Hickey is expected to be restored to the starting line up, having made his return from a cruciate injury against the Townie
Offaly native Egan says they will have taken some positives from their opening game, but will need a much improved showing to get over the line
Meanwhile Lissycasey boss Aidan “Horse” Moloney feels the club are reaping the benefits of their work at underage level in recent years.
8 different scorers contributed to their 2-16 tally in the win over Kilmihil, with the likes of recent minor and U20 county players Shane Griffin and Daire Culligan among them
Moloney says they need to target continuing that development at the top tier.
Throw in on Saturday evening in Cusack Park is at 7pm with commentary on Clare FM in assocation with Talty’s Stores Mace, Lissycasey
