Kilmurray begin championship clash against Cratloe

Kilmurray Ibrickane will begin their quest for the third county senior football title in a row against Cratloe following the draw for this year’s championship made last evening.

The sides clashed in round one last year while St Joseph’s Doorabarefield will meet Liscannor on day one.

Round one of the county senior football championship is scheduled for the August bank holiday weekend and there is set to be a number of exciting matches to look forward

For the second year in a row Cratloe will face Kilmurray Ibrickane in the opening game of this year’s county senior football championship with the sides meeting three times last year,including an opening round replay.

Lissycasey meet Doonbeg in another repeat pairing from 2012   while West Clare rivals Kilrush will take on Cooraclare also on day one.

St Joseph’s Doorabarefield will meet Liscannor,there is a North Clare Derby as St Breckan’s meet Ennistymon,Shannon Gaels take on last year’s intermediate champions O Curry’s, Wolfe Tones will meet St Senan’s Kilkee and Clondegad face Eire Og.

In the intermediate championship Group one sees O Callaghan’s Mills, Corofin, Kilmihil and Kilfenora while in Group two Clarecastle, Kilmurray Ibrickane, St Joseph’s Miltown and Kildysart will battle it out for promotion.
