Kilmihil’s Considine Looking Forward To Irish Squad Developing Ahead Of Six Nations

Kilmihil’s Eimear Considine says she’s looking forward to being a part of a developing Irish squad ahead of the Women’s Six Nations campaign.

The streamlined tournament will now get underway in April, with Ireland taking on Wales and France in the group phase of the competition.

Adam Griggs’ side – which includes another Kilmihil woman, Edel McMahon – will then look to confirm qualification for the World Cup in New Zealand later this year.

Considine says she feels the Irish side can use the tournament to gel as a team heading into World Cup qualifying.

Meanwhile, Eimear’s sister Ailish is continuing her recovery from a suspected concussion sustained in Australia this week.

The 28-year-old was tackled heavily in the third quarter of the Adelaide Crows’ AFL clash with GWS Giants at the weekend.

Giants player Tarni Evans could now face a ban for the incident, which could see Kilmihil native Considine sidelined for 12 days under concussion protocols.
