TUS Clare SHC Quarter Final: Kilmaley 1-21 Sixmilebridge 1-8
Another hugely impressive showing from Kilmaley saw them bridge a 7 year gap since their last appearance in the TUS Clare SHC semi final.
The result of this game became apparent as early as the 22nd minute when Tom O’Rourke profited from a fortunate break to put his side 1-7 to 0-4 clear, playing into a strong gale.
By the break, that lead had been pushed out to 1-11 to 0-4 with Kilmaley on top in every sector of the field.
Sixmilebridge did continue to battle and got their rewards when David Kennedy produced a tidy finish in the 45th minute, but it only served to reduce his sides arrears to 10 points at that stage.
Kilmaley were relentless with their full back line dominant, and excellent showings up from front by Mikey O’Neill, Conor Cleary and man of the match Brian McNamara saw them cruise to a comfortable win.
