Kilkee Relegated After Defeat To Wolfe Tones

Wolfe Tones have secured their place in the Clare Senior Football Championship after victory over Kilkee in this afternoon’s relegation final.

As a result, St Senan’s Kilkee has been relegated to the Intermediate Championship for next year.

The game was tight at half time, with the Tones leading by a single point.

Kilkee had the upper hand approaching full time but a late Johnny Bridges goal and points from Brian O’Connor and Jamie Roughan handed the win to the Shannon team.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Ennistymon has progressed to the last eight to face Cratloe after a win over Lissycasey in their Round 3 replay in Cusack Park.

And the Intermediate Championship final two have been decided after today’s semi-finals. Kilmihil beat Coolmeen 1-19 to 0-9 and will face Kilrush after their 1-11 to 0-8 win over Kildysart.
