Clare has been knocked out of the Munster Senior Football Championship following defeat to Kerry in Ennis this afternoon.

David Tubridy opened the scoring with two points for Clare, which was followed in the seventeenth minute by a goal from the Doonbeg man when he netted a penalty conceded by Donnchadh Walsh.

The sides went into half-time tied on 8 points each, but, despite losing Donnchadh Walsh through a second yellow and playing against the wind, Kerry proved the stronger side in the second half and secured their win with a 67th minute goal from Stephen O’Brien.

Kerry will now face Cork in the final on July 2nd, following the Rebels’ victory over Tipperary in Pairc Ui Rinn yesterday.
