Beginning with gaelic football and former Clare boss John Kennedy says it would be a great boost to Clare football if Mick O’Dwyer was to take over as the county senior manager.
Kennedy played under Micko on Kerry teams in the 1980s, and was a member of teams which gave the Waterville native some of his 8 All Ireland medals.
Clare FM understands that O’Dwyer has been approached by a West Clare club with a view to putting his name forward for the job
However, incombent Micháel McDermott is also interested in staying on in the role.
While claiming that an O’Dwyer appiontment would be good for Clare, current Kilmurry Ibrickane boss John Kennedy is not convinced that the 75 year old will get the job
