Kelly Urges Discussion Around Future Of GAA Split Season

A former President of the GAA feels a discussion is needed in relation to the structure of the intercounty and club season.

The comments from Kerry native Sean Kelly come as the countdown begins in earnest to the start of the 2024 National Hurling and Football Leagues which get underway in two weeks time.

This year’s All Ireland hurling and football finals will be played over the last two weekends in July, while this year’s All Ireland club hurling semi-finals will once again be played prior to Christmas.
