Clare’s hurlers have been hit with a major injury blow ahead of the 2024 season.
Captain Tony Kelly is set to miss out on the entire National League campaign with an ankle injury, with the four time All Star also in a race against time to be fit for Clare’s Munster hurling championship opener against Limerick on April 21st.

The Ballyea man is believed to have undergone further surgery on the his ankle, having previously spending time on the sideline with the same issue in 2022.
Clare’s first game of 2024 comes on Wednesday January 10th with an opening round tie in the Munster Hurling League against Limerick
