Kelly Hails Banner Resilience As Clare Make It Two From Two In Munster SHC

Clare’s all time hurling championship scorer felt the Banner showed great heart to pick up their second win of the Munster hurling championship.

Ballyea’s Tony Kelly ensured his place at the top of the scoring charts with his tally of 0-10 central to Clare’s two point over Cork in Thurles.

It saw him overtake Niall Gilligan as Clare’s most prolific scorer, with Clare now unbeaten in their opening two games of the round robin series.

Brian Lohan’s side had to play the last 20 minutes with 14 men after Ian Galvin was sent off, but Kelly was pleased with how they stuck to their task.
