Kelly: County Hurling Final Is A Day For All Of Ballyea Parish To Enjoy

Ballyea’s Tony Kelly says Sunday’s senior county hurling final is an occasion for the whole parish to enjoy.

2003 was the first time the club contested the showpiece event, with Sunday’s game being the fifth time they will march behind the band.

Since 2016, the Canon Hamilton has been brought back to the parish on three occasions, with Eire Og standing in their way of back to back titles.

Kelly says going to Cusack Park for the biggest day in Clare hurling is something for everyone to look forward to.

Meanwhile Eire Óg coach Gerry O’Connor feels their squad are ready to take the next step in their development.

The Townies have gone one step further than their 2021 championship run, which saw them lose out to Inagh-Kilnamona at the semi-final stage.

O’Connor says the experience of recent campaigns is something they have used to map a path to Sunday’s decider

Throw in on Sunday afternoon in Cusack Park is at 3pm with commentary on Clare FM with O’Sullivan Hansbury Motors, Kilrush Road, Ennis
