The chairman of Clare GAA says it is not feasible to have ambulance cover at multiple venues across the county for club championship games.

It comes after county star Jason McCarthy suffered a serious leg injury early in the second half of Inagh-Kilnamona’s clash with Eire Og in Cusack Park, with almost an hour passing before an ambulance attended the incident.

A paramedic had arrived 30 minutes previously, but the medical advice not to move the injured meant he was left lying on the ground until the ambulance arrived to transport him to University Hospital Limerick.
