Under 21 Football Manager Ger Keane admits yesterdays Hastings Cup defeat was a reality check for his side but a performance they will look to improve on.
In their first year in the pre season competition the banner side suffered a 2-19 to 1-07 loss.
At half time the Rossies had a six point advantage at 11 points to 1-02, Martin O’Leary raising the green flag for the men in Saffron and Blue.
However the experienced Connacht side ran out 15 point winners at the Roscommon venue.
Clare Under 21 manager Ger Keane says they have time to learn from this competition before their Munster Semi Final on March 19th.
Next week Clare take on Westmeath, with Kildare the Hastings Cup opposition the week after. Both are home games, with times and venues to be confirmed.
