Keane eager for Clare to improve qualifier record

Clare selector Ger Keane is hopeful the Banner can improve their record in the All Ireland Qualifiers when they take on Longford in Cusack Park this afternoon.

2014 saw Clare narrowly fail to reach the last 12 of the All Ireland series after a one point defeat to Kildare, which was just the second time they reached the fourth round of the Qualifiers.

After some one sided provinical results, there have been calls for a restructuring of the championship, but the Kilkee man says that's not something they can concern themselves with.

In the other Round 2A Qualifiers, 

First up, at 2 o'clock, Kildare will be looking to regain some pride as they travel to face Offaly.

And Cavan also take on Roscommon – that game in Kingspan Breffni Park starts at 5pm
