Trainer Paul Nicholls says Kauto Star may not be retired despite being pulled up during the Gold Cup last Friday at Cheltenham.
After the race the horses owner Clive Smith said the 12 year old was 90 percent likely to retire but the trainer says they are not rushing a decision.
