Defeat to Kilkenny brought the curtain down on a season that saw Brian Lohan’s side finish top of the Munster round robin standings before taking Limerick to extra-time in the provincial decider.
The loss to the Cats was just Clare’s second time back in Croke Park since winning the All Ireland title in 2013, with Brian Cody’s charges now focusing on stopping Limerick completing a three-in-a-row of All Ireland titles.
