Irish team land in Poland

The Republic of Ireland squad was treated to a civic reception at their training base this afternoon after traveling to Poland ahead of the start of their Euro 2012 campaign.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s men are due to hold their first training session at around four o’clock, after which the manager will give an update on his squad.

There were no fresh injury concerns to report following last night’s scoreless draw with Hungary in Budapest, with Shay Given playing the first half of the game, while Stephen Ward also reported no lasting effects on the ankle knock that he picked-up just before half-time.
