Royal Portrush will be announced as this year’s Irish Open venue today.
The Antrim course hopes to host the Open Championship in 5 years and holding a European tour event is scene as a major part of preparations for that.

Carton House which was expected to hold the event next summer is now likely to host it in 2013.
