He joined Burnley at the start of this season, but injuries have curtailed him to just seven appearances for the Turf Moor club.

Reid made his Ireland debut in 2001, and among his 23 caps were 2 appearances at the 2002 World Cup finals.

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has recalled Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam, and Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths for next month's Euro qualifier with Ireland at the Aviva.

Griffiths' Celtic team-mate Charlie Mulgrew is also named in the 26-man squad after a lengthy injury absence.

And there's a first call-up for Dundee goalkeeper, Scott Bain.

Premier League champions Chelsea play their final away game of the season tonight.

Jose Mourinho's side travel to the Hawthorns to face West Brom, with kick off at 8:00.
