In Brian O'Driscolls final game in an Irish Jersey, they beat the French by 22 points to 20 in a high intensity battle, that ended on high drama as officials correctly identified a forward pass in a play that saw the French cross for a try, and momentarily call Irelands title hopes into question.
France lead Ireland 13-12 at the break, Ireland's tries came from Jonny Sexton and Andrew Trimble, while Sexton crossed for a second in the latter half, before another twist of drama saw him leave the field with a neck injury.
He was back on the field to recieve his medal showing no serious signs of injury.
Brian O'Driscoll was awarded man of the match as he bows out of international rugby after a 15 year long career.
