The Republic of Ireland start the day fourth in Group D, and two points adrift of their visitors so three points appears to be vital for Martin O'Neill's side.

Despite the high stakes, the Ireland manager believes he has the players at his disposal to get the job done.

Kick off at the Aviva is at 5 o'clock.

At the same time, group toppers Poland play host to Georgia.

While Germany can surely bank on three points and a vast improvement on their goal difference when they face whipping boys Gibraltar in Faro at 7.45.

Northern Ireland will have it tough if they're to maintain their fine start to Group F – Michael O'Neill's charges are in Bucharest to face leaders Romania.

That kicks off at 7.45, as does the meeting of the Faroe Islands and Greece.

Hungary and Finland has a five o'clock start.
