Bonnar’s revealed that Callanan has suffered an infection in the hand which is likely to rule him out of their remaining games with Limerick and Cork.

Meanwhile All Ireland champions Limerick have concerns ahead of their opening Championship game with Cork.

Kyle Hayes and Seamus Flanagan are major doubts with hamstring and hand injuries.

Cian Lynch, Aaron Gillane and William O’Donoghue are all carrying knocks.
