Star forward Aron Shanagher has been ruled out of the clash as the 2015 intermediate champions go in search of a place in the last four.

The Shannon men knocked out holders Sixmilebridge in the previous round and manager James Carrig says there's a huge sense of belief in the squad.

That one starts on Sunday in Cusack Park at 12 noon.

Meanwhile last years beaten finalists continue their journey back to Clare hurlings biggest day when they take on Tulla tomorrow afternoon.

Clonlara just fell short in their bid for the Canon in 2015, losing out to Sixmilebridge in the decider.

They will once more be able to call on a number of county stars, and manager Damien Power says that experience in the squad will be crucial.

Meanwhile their opponents Tulla are back into the last eight as they go in search of a first title since 2007.

They took down east Clare neighbours O'Callaghans Mills last time out, but manager Brian Quinn feels they will need to show massive improvement if they're to progress to the last four.

That one starts tomorrow in Cusack Park at 4pm
