Clare’s Ladies Football Manager heaped praise on his team after their comprehensive defeat of Sligo in the All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.
The odds were against the Banner as they needed to win by more than 20 points as well as hope that Laois beat Kildare in the other match of the group.
A rock-solid display from James Murrihy’s side saw them concede just 2 points to end the match 7-18 to 0-2, securing their spot in the semi-finals.
