There was a huge crash during today's third stage of the Tour de France.

Yellow-jersey holder leader Fabian Cancellara was one of the riders who was brought crashing to the ground during a high-speed crash approaching the first climb of the day.
Such was the size of the crash, the race was stopped for 15 minutes to allow riders to receive medical attention before it was re-started behind the race officials car.
None of the Irish riders were involved in the pile-up, but there's been at least four retirements from the race.
