Horan Fears Champions Cup Becoming ‘A Farce’ After Walkovers

A former Munster and Ireland prop fears the Heineken Champions Cup is turning into a ‘farce’ after a number of walkovers were awarded over the weekend due to COVID-19.

French clubs La Rochelle, Toulouse and Lyon were each handed a 28-0 victory and five match points by European Professional Club Rugby after opponents could not fufil their fixtures.

It’s led to concerns that clubs who are undertaking their full compliment of fixtures may be on the receiving end of tougher draws later in the competition.
