In the opening round of the PK Coaches Senior Camogie Championship there were wins for Kilkishen, Newmarket on Fergus, Kilmaley and Clooney Quin on Sunday evening.
Kilkishen,put in a storming second half performance to earn themselves a 1 point win over Scariff/Ogonnelloe on a final score 2-9 to 3-5. Newmarket easily overcame Senior debutantes Corofin with a 3-20 to 0-4 win, whilst it was 1 way traffic for Kilmaley in Newmarket as they cruised to a 3-19 to 1-02 win over Wolfe Tones.
Clooney Quin exerted their dominance over a youthful Sixmilebridge side and ran out deserving winners in a hard fought contest 3-13 to 3-7.
