The line up for the knockout stages of the TUS Clare senior and intermediate football championships are now known.
The six most recent senior champions are all still going in the race for Jack Daly, with three teams now turning their attentions to the relegation battle.
In what was a dramatic final weekend of group stages action, a total of 25 goals and 173 points were scored across the six games in the top tier.
Champions Eire Óg accounted for 4-21 of that total as they consigned Kildysart to the relegation battle.
An enthralling contest between Doora Barefield and Cratloe looked destined to be a draw, but a late Enda Boyce winner means the 2023 winners took second spot in the Group One standings, with the Parish through in third.
Group Two provided the chief drama of the weekend, with the final standings in the group only confirmed in the shadow of the winning post in both games.
Ennistymon are the real winners as their late late draw with Lissycasey sees them into the quarter-finals straight, with the North Clare men having flirted with the relegation battle for much of the afternoon.
Doonbeg held off a stern test from Kilmihil to seal their place in the playoff round and send their neighbours to the relegation series.
There was also high drama in Group Three as a brace of Jamie Stack two pointers and a levelling score from Colm O’Brien saw St Breckan’s reel in Miltown to earn a draw, and with it, a place in the quarter-finals. For Miltown, they now face the playoff round against Doonbeg in two weeks time.
Wolfe Tones were already consigned to the relegation battle ahead of their showdown with group winners Kilmurry, with the Bricks running out comfortable winners in that one.
It means Eire Óg, Lissycasey and Kilmurry will all be seeded in the quarter-final draw, with one of either Cratloe, Ennistymon or St Breckans to be drawn as the fourth seeded team.
In the intermediate championship, Corofin, Kilrush and Clondegad will all be seeded, while the second placed teams, namely Cooraclare, Banner and Shannon Gaels will be in the draw for the fourth seeded quarter final spot.
Naomh Eoin are also through to the last eight with the last quarter final spot coming from the winners of the playoff round when Michael Cusacks take on Coolmeen.
