A Clareman has become the first Irish Person to win the Dublin Marathon in 20 years.
Sean Hehir from Kilkishen, who entered the race as a favourite, took the honours in a time of 2:18:19.
Hehir was second of the Irish finishers in 2012 and 13th overall, coming home in a time of 2:17:35.
It’s the 34th year of the event, which took place over 26.2 miles across Dublin City.
Some 14,500 competitors took part.
