Heavy Munster Final Defeat For Sixmilebridge

Sixmilebridge suffered an eighteen point defeat against Na Piarsaigh in the Munster Club Final in Cusack Park.

The Sean Stack managed Limerick champions capture the provincial honours for the second time in three years, also holding onto their unbeaten record in Munster championship action.
 
A Kevin Downes Goal opened the scoring for Na Piarsaigh in the 49th second of the game, and that was the first of four green flags for the away side.
 
At half time Na Piarsaigh had a six point advantage at 1-08 to 0-04, but straight after the resumption, this time in the 39th second of play, came the second blow for the Bridge as Kevin Ryan goaled. They added two more in the half through Adrian Breen and substitute David Shepard contributing to a final score in Ennis of 4-14 to 0-08.
 
Scores for Sixmilbridge came through three Niall Gilligan pointed free’s, two points from Shane Golden, and one each from Kevin Lynch ,Caimin Morey and Jamie Shanahan.
 
Sixmilebride clubman Sean Stack will now take his Na Piarsaigh side to the All Ireland Semi Finals where they will take on Galway champions Portumna next February.
