One of the joint managers of the Ennistymon Community School senior football squad says they couldn’t be any prouder of how their players battled to the bitter end of their All Ireland final.
A late goal in the second half of extra time eventually swung the game in favour of St Clare’s from Manorhamilton after a game packed with incidents and brilliant scores.
Jack Cullinan’s goal and Conor Burke’s equalizer sent the game to extra-time, with a controversial late decision on a sideline kick giving St Clare’s the platform to nudge in front before their second goal settled the contest.
