The head of the Master Fixtures Committee in Clare GAA has stood down from his position.
Kilrush Shamrocks clubman Colm Browne is understood to have informed county board secretary Pat Fitzgerald that he has resigned from the role with immediate effect.
Browne has been a prominent figure in Clare GAA for a number of years through his work in drafting the annual fixtures plan along with being involved in various sub committees.
It comes in the wake of Monday’s stormy meeting of the county board which saw treasurer Michael Gallagher question the motives behind Eire Og’s Niall O’Connor raising €4,000 for the provision of meals to the U20 hurlers.
