Hayes Feeling Ready Ahead Of Hurling Clash With Cork

One of the newest Clare senior hurling stars feels they’re well prepared for this weekend’s Munster League clash with Cork.

The Banner host Cork at Cusack Park tomorrow – a week on from their easy win over Kerry in their opening game of the 2018 season.

The Rebels are expected to bring a tougher battle for Clare in the game.

Clare Senior Hurling Joint Managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O’Connor have made 10 changes from the team that beat Kerry last week for Sunday’s clash with Cork in the second round of the 2018 Co-Op Superstores.ie Munster Hurling League in Cusack Park, Ennis, at 2.00 p.m.

Patrick Kelly (Inagh-Kilnamona) replaces Donal Tuohy in goal, Eoin Quirke (Whitegate) and team captain Patrick O’Connor (Tubber) come in for Jack Browne and Rory Hayes at left and right corner back respectively, while David Fitzgerald (Inagh-Kilnamona) and Seadna Morey (Sixmilebridge) are named at left and right wing back respectively in place of Diarmuid Ryan and Mikey O’Malley.

David Reidy makes way for Colm Galvin (Clonlara) at midfield, Ian Galvin (Clonlara) comes in for John Conlon at wing forward, while Conor McGrath (Cratloe), Peter Duggan (Clooney-Quin) and senior inter-county debutant Billy Connors (Cratloe) replace last week’s full forward line comprising Cathal O’Connell, Shane O’Donnell and Gary Cooney.
