As expected Padraig Harrington has not been selected for the European Ryder Cup team.
European captain Jose Maria Olazabal announced England’s Ian Poulter and Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts as his two wild card picks.

Harrington’s chances of making a seventh appearance at the tournament were quite slim and his omission means that Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell will be the only Irish golfers on the team.
