Guilfoyle – Clare Must Move On Quickly From Controversial Premier Defeat

A former Clare hurling captain feels the squad must move on quickly from their controversial defeat to Tipperary in the Munster semi final.

A contentious penalty and sin binning early in the second period played a major role in the loss, with the Premier notching 2-4 in the ten minute spell that Clare were reduced to 14 men.

Thoughts will now turn to next week’s qualifier draw, with Galway or Wexford being Clare’s likely opponents should they be drawn for the opening round games.

Feakle’s Tommy Guilfoyle says the squad must focus on the performance aspect ahead of the next outing.
