Griffey, who plays with the county champions Kilmaley, is one of the 22 players selected for the occasion, one from each of the county’s camogie clubs.

Saturday’s match marks the official opening of Fr. McNamara Park in Doora, the new home for Clare camogie, with an official ceremony to be carried out at half time by President Michael D Higgins.

It’s one of the key events of the busiest sporting weekend of the year in Clare, with Under-21 and Senior Hurling/Shinty Internationals between Ireland and Scotland being staged in the county tomorrow and Saturday.
