Giovanni Trapattoni’s Tenure As Ireland Boss Ends

The FAI have confirmed that Giovanni Trapattonni and Marco Tardelli have left their roles with the Irish team by mutual consent.

The news was confirmed in a statement from the F.A.I today.

The association have thanked the management team for their work and confirmed the Board of the F.A.I will meet in due course to discuss the process in relation to the appointment of a new manager.

Former Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill is already the favourite to get the position.
