Gilroy applauds ref decision on controversial point

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy says they made silly mistakes and got lazy in the second half  of yesterdays Leinster final win over Meath.

2-13 to 1-13 the final score, Bernard Brogan and Dennis Bastick getting the goals in the last two minutes of the first half for the Dubs while Jamie Queeney scored a late goal for the Royals

Meath trailed by 10 points at one stage.

During the game referee Marty Duffy overruled his umpire after speaking to his linesman Maurice Deegan following an Eoghan O’Gara point which was initially not awarded.

It appeared Deegan reacted to the re-play on the stadium’s big screen which showed the point was clearly over, Gilroy applauds the decision.
