Leinster champions Galway top the list of All Star nominees with 14, that’s 2 more than All Ireland champions Kilkenny.
The Cats have been overlooked in the goalkeeping department with Corks Anthony Nash, Limericks Nicky Quaid and Galways James Skehill all shortlisted.
Limericks Richie Mc Carthy and Tipps Michael Cahill have been nominated in the full backs category with the rest coming from Kilkenny and Galway.
Corks Pa Cronin makes the list at midfield while Danny Sutcliffe of Dublin is in at half forward.
John Mullane from Waterford and Brian O’Meara of Tipp are amongst the full forward nominees.
Overall Tipp have 8 nominee’s Cork and Waterford have 4, Limerick and while Dublin have 1.
Henry Shefflin , Paul Murphy and Joe Canning have been shortlisted for the hurler of the year prize while Johnny Coen, Niall Burke and Danny Sutcliffe are on the young player list.
