Galway Races Entries Released

The entries for next weeks Galway Races Festival have been released today.

Ireland’s biggest National Hunt race, the €260,000 ‘Galway Guinness Hurdle Handicap’ takes place on Thursday.
 
Michael Winters, who won the race last year with Rebel Fitz, will be represented by the mare Miss-united.
 
A final target for Rebel Fitz is yet to be decided, the trainer says continuing hot conditions will influence his decision, but he will run in a novice chase as well.
 
Gordon Elliott plans to have a strong hand in the Hurdle with last years second place Cause Of Causes, Flaxen Flare and Shadow Catcher, while Willie Mullins will run Security Breach.
 
The €200,000 euro Galway Plate features on Wednesday 
 
Gordon Elliott is expected to have as many as five runners in this one with Carlito Brigante, Jamsie Hall, Romanesco, and Dantes King all being aimed at the race. 
 
Tom Mullins, who won the Plate last season with Bob Lingo, will have a strong team with Klepht, Bob Lingo and Fosters Cross.
