Kilmurry-Ibrickane’s boss says the club’s success at underage level has begun bearing fruit ahead of the Clare Senior Football Championship semi-finals this weekend.

Aiden ‘Horse’ Maloney’s side take on Lissycasey at Cusack Park on Saturday, looking for a first county title since 2017.

Momentum has been on their side so far in the campaign, having beaten last year’s champions St Joseph’s Milltown Malbay in the first round before a victory against Eire Og in the quarter finals.

Lissycasey are also two from two, with an extra time victory over Cratloe and a last eight win over Kilmihil under their belt so far.

Maloney says a number of standout players from their 2016 under-21 title winning side are now important senior players.

The other Clare Senior Football Championship semi final this weekend sees Cratloe battling with St Breckans for a county final place.
