Goals proved key as Cork left Miltown with a 5-6 to 3-6 win in the opening round of the Munster Minor ladies football championship.
The visitors to West Clare led 4-5 to 3-2 at half time having played with the aid of the wind.
Great pressure on the Cork restarts paid dividends for Clare, with a brace of goals for Aine McNamara and one for Lucy Shanahan in the opening period.
