Gerry O’Connor has stepped down as joint manager of the Clare senior hurling team.

The squad’s official twitter page  has confirmed reports from the Clare Echo that the Killanena native won’t be putting his name forward for a fourth season in charge.

O’Connor and Donal Moloney oversaw the Banner’s three All-Ireland under 21 wins between 2012 and 2014 before taking over the senior set-up after Davy Fitzgerald resigned in 2016.
