Éire Óg, Ballyea and Feakle Earn Senior Hurling Quarter-Final Spots

Éire Óg booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a 2-13 to 1-14 victory over Newmarket-on-Fergus in Cusack Park.

Darren O’Brien and Danny Russell struck first half goals for the Ennis side before Shane O’Donnell’s late insurance point.

Ballyea were 2-24 to 0-14 victors over Wolfe Tones in Sixmilebridge thanks to goals in either half from Niall Deasy and Tony Kelly.

The game had to be moved from it’s original venue due to a burst water main which affected the water supply in Cusack Park.

And Feakle held on for a suprise 3-17 to 1-21 victory over Clooney/Quin in Cusack Park.

A late Enda Noonan goal was the clincher after Shane McGrath and Ray Bane struck two green flags in the first half.
